What are carriage bolts used for?
Carriage bolts, also known as coach bolts, belong to the category of threaded fasteners employed to securely join two pieces of metal or wood. They feature a distinctively domed head and a square-shaped shoulder just beneath the head, designed to prevent the bolt from rotating within its hole.
Carriage bolts find extensive use in situations where the bolt head will be concealed once installed, and a smooth, rounded aesthetic is desired.
