Our factory produces 304 stainless steel A-type flat keys, with both ends being semi-circular, manufactured according to the national standard GB/T 1096. These items are used to connect parts such as shafts, gears, and pulleys - when the shaft rotates, it drives the wheel to rotate along with it. Stainless steel does not rust, so there is no need to worry about the key rusting in the slot and becoming difficult to remove when used in humid environments.
The flat key is one of the most fundamental components in mechanical transmission. When the shaft is driven to rotate with gears, pulleys, or sprockets, it relies on the key. Both the shaft and the hub are pre-drilled with key slots, into which the key is inserted. As the shaft rotates, the key drives the hub to rotate along with it. Due to its simple structure and convenient assembly and disassembly, flat keys are widely used in various applications, from motors to reducers, and from machine tools to conveyor lines.
There are three types of common flat keys: Type A round head, Type B flat head, and Type C single round head. Type A has two semi-circular ends that fit well with the circular arc at the bottom of the keyway. When assembled, the key fits in just right and won't move axially, making it the most widely used. Type B is flat-headed with two right angles at both ends, and it needs to be fixed tightly with screws when installed. Type C has one round end and one flat end, used at the shaft end. Type A is the easiest to use, just put it in and it works.

Type A round head, ready to use upon insertion: both ends are semi-circular, fitting well with the keyway arc. During assembly, the key clicks into place in the slot, preventing axial movement. There's no need to add screws for fixation like Type B, making it more convenient.
The dimensions follow the national standard and are compatible with the keyway: width b follows h8 tolerance, height h follows h8, and length follows h14. The dimensions are precise and well-matched with the keyway of the shaft and hub. There will be no issues such as the key being too wide to fit or too loose to wobble.
