The split pin elastic clip pin is a folded metal wire. After inserting it into the hole of a bolt or shaft, the two ends are bent open to lock it in place. The principle is straightforward: Insert the split pin into the hole of the corresponding bolt or shaft end, then bend the exposed two legs outward and press them tightly against the bolt end or shaft surface.
