Our factory specializes in producing 304 stainless steel nylon hexagonal flange locking nuts, which are formed by SUS304 cold heading. The flange surface is integrated with the hexagon, and nylon anti loosening rings are pressed into the inside. After tightening the nut, the nylon ring is locked with the bolt thread, effectively preventing loosening and can be reused multiple times. Replacing flat pads with flange surfaces increases the contact area and disperses pressure.
Nylon locking nuts simplify the problem. It has a nylon ring embedded at the top of the nut. When the nut is unscrewed, the bolt thread needs to be forcefully squeezed through the nylon ring. Nylon has elasticity and can tightly wrap around threads, generating significant resistance. This resistance is much greater than that of a spring washer and is permanently effective, without fatigue failure like a spring washer.
This one still has a flange surface. The flange surface has a wider base than a regular hex nut, which is pressed directly onto the surface when tightened. Its function is similar to that of a cushion - to disperse pressure and protect the surface of the workpiece. So using flange nuts eliminates the need for a separate flat washer. Save one component and one less process.

The flange comes with a built-in flat washer, eliminating one process step: the bottom flange replaces the separate flat washer. During installation, there's no need to flip open the washer box, preventing missed washers or pre-tension force issues due to washer thickness. For disassembly, simply remove one nut—no scattered parts from washers.
It can be reused several times: nylon washers are not disposable. Screw them in and out, and they can still be tightened after three or five uses. During inspection, modification, or repair, the removed nuts can be repurposed for other locations without waste. Of course, if the nylon washer already has deep thread marks, it should be replaced, but such cases are rare.
