Square Taper Washers for U-sections

DIN 434 Square Taper Washers for U-sections are inclined supporting accessories specifically designed for fastening components of channel steel, U-shaped steel, and other I-beam steel types. They are made of carbon steel with galvanization or hot-dip galvanization (stainless steel can be used under specific conditions), featuring a square base combined with an inclined supporting surface (the inclined angle is typically 10° or 12°). They are used to compensate for the angle deviation between the flange of the channel steel and the connecting component, ensuring uniform force distribution of the bolts.

The core function is to convert the vertical downward axial force into a radial component acting on the inner wall of the channel steel through the inclined surface, effectively increasing the contact area, distributing the pressure, preventing the bolt head from deforming or loosening due to local stress concentration, and protecting the surface of the channel steel from damage caused by pressure.

The galvanized square inclined washer, with its standardized 10°/12° inclined surface design, automatically compensates for the inclination deviation of the channel steel flange, optimally decomposing the axial pressure of the bolt into radial supporting force, effectively enhancing the shear resistance and anti-slip performance of the connection. Its square base tightly adheres to the surface of the channel steel, dispersing the preload force, avoiding local crushing of the channel steel, and strictly following the DIN 434 standard. The specifications range from M8 to M27, with precise dimensions and strong interchangeability, providing reliable fastening solutions for various steel structures.
