O Type Seal Ring

O-type seal rings are circular cross-section ring-shaped rubber seals with a simple structure, easy installation, and reliable sealing. They are currently the most widely used and extensively applied sealing components in hydraulic, pneumatic, and various mechanical sealing systems. O-type seal rings are typically installed in grooves, where initial compression generates sealing pressure, and further deformation under the working medium pressure achieves sealing.

After the O-ring is installed into the groove, it undergoes elastic deformation under compression, forming an initial contact pressure to prevent leakage. When the system pressure rises, the medium pressure pushes the O-ring toward the opposite side of the groove, increasing the contact pressure of the sealing ring and creating a self-sealing effect.
