Our factory specializes in producing tamper-evident screws (anti-theft screws/tamper-evident screws), made from 304 stainless steel or galvanized carbon steel, featuring a wire threading hole or tamper-evident groove on the head, designed for applications requiring anti-tampering and anti-cheating measures. After installation, the screws are sealed with a tamper-evident wire, leaving clear marks upon damage, which cannot be restored. Available in sizes from M3 to M6, with lengths customizable to order, and standard dimensions are in ample stock.
Electricity meters and water meters are most commonly used by factories. Every electric meter that leaves the factory has lead sealed screws on its casing. After the electricity meter is installed in the user's home, the personnel from the power supply bureau come to read or inspect it. If they see that the lead seal is intact, they know that the meter has not been dismantled. The same applies to water meters and gas meters. The seal of the container also uses a similar principle, but it is made of plastic and disposable.
There are mainly two designs. One method is to create a transverse circular hole on the side of the head, with a diameter of 1.5-2.5mm, through which a lead sealing wire passes. Another method is to create a cross groove or a straight groove on the top of the head, and then open a horizontal hole at the bottom of the groove. The lead sealing wire can pass through the horizontal hole, and the screwdriver slot can also be used to tighten screws. There are two ways, customers can choose according to their habits.

Head perforation, lead sealing wire can pass through: After tightening the screw, the lead sealing wire passes through the head hole and is coated with lead sealing beans. After threading the lead wire, tighten it and the screw will be locked. The thread keeps going and the screw cannot be turned.
Once the lead seal is damaged, the traces are obvious: the lead seal wire cannot be reconnected after being cut, and the cut is different from the original, which can be seen at a glance. During on-site inspection, it is possible to see from a distance whether the lead seal is intact, without the need to tighten each screw for inspection.
