Hexagon Socket Set Screws with Cone Point

The stainless steel Hexagon Socket Set Screws with Cone Point (often referred to as "machine screw" or "top screw") is a headless, axial locking precision positioning fastener. It is made of 304 or 316 austenitic stainless steel and possesses excellent corrosion resistance and rust prevention capabilities. Its structural design is very sophisticated, with one end being a sunk cylindrical head, the center having a standard internal hexagonal hole, and the other end being machined into a sharp conical shape (with a cone angle typically of 90° or 120°).

This end-tightening design is the core feature that distinguishes it from flat-ended or cylindrical-ended tightening screws. During installation, the screw is inserted into the threaded hole of the component using an internal hexagonal wrench. The sharp conical end will actively cut into or deeply embed into the surface of the fixed part (even pre-drilled tiny positioning holes on the shaft). This design provides extremely strong shear resistance and excellent anti-loosening locking effect, enabling it to maintain extremely high position locking reliability even when subjected to vibration or impact loads. It is an indispensable basic component in precision mechanical assembly.

Strong anti-loosening and self-locking: The sharp conical end can effectively embed into the mating surface, forming a state similar to "locking", providing extremely high vibration resistance and anti-loosening capabilities, ensuring that the connection position remains stable and does not shift.

Precise positioning: The tip can precisely align with the center of the shaft or hole, and even be used in conjunction with the reserved tiny depressions to achieve zero-offset fine-tuning and positioning.

Concealed installation: The headless design and the ability to fully sink into the workpiece allow for installation with a smooth surface, without any external protrusions that would affect the appearance and overall operation of the equipment.

High torque drive: The internal hexagonal drive structure is evenly stressed, and the high mechanical strength of the stainless steel material enables it to withstand high tightening torque and is not prone to slippage.
