Their four-sided structure provides a larger wrench contact surface, making them less prone to slipping compared to hexagonal nuts, and they can effectively prevent rotation when inserted into the profile slot.

DIN 557 stainless steel square nuts (Stainless Steel Square Nut) are specifically designed for three major applications: anti-loosening, track rail, and welding. Compared to standard hexagonal nuts, they have significant advantages in structural fixation and installation methods. The square shape provides a larger contact surface, which can effectively fit into the profile slots or structural edges, preventing the nut from slipping or rotating with the bolt when tightened. They are particularly suitable for single-side operation (blind installation) scenarios. Made of A2 (304) or A4 (316) stainless steel, the surface is usually treated with passivation, offering excellent corrosion resistance and suitable for humid, outdoor, and food and pharmaceutical environments with hygiene requirements.

Product Application

Industrial aluminum profile frame: This is the most typical application. Square nuts can be directly inserted into the T-shaped slots of the profile and fixed the panel, angle piece or equipment base with bolts. No additional tool is needed to hold the nut during installation to prevent it from rotating in the slot.Welding structure: The square shape is convenient for positioning and welding on steel structures or equipment bases, and is often used in the assembly of heavy machinery, frames and pipe supports.Anti-rotation scenarios: In areas where a wrench cannot be used due to space constraints, the square corners can grip the edge of the structural component to achieve one-sided operation.
