The tail is equipped with a thin rod and a half threaded thread. Even after the screw is loosened and the thread is removed, it still hangs on the panel without falling off. The design of half tooth and thin rod makes the guidance smoother and the threading faster.
The anti loosening screw is to lock the "removed screw" onto the panel. It uses a fixed sleeve riveted to the panel, along with a small section of light rod and steel wire clamp spring or spring at the end of the screw, to allow the screw to freely expand and contract a small distance after loosening, but not completely detach from the panel.
The special feature of this slender half tooth profile lies in two aspects:
One is a thin rod. There is a smooth rod at the end of the screw, with a diameter slightly smaller than the bottom diameter of the thread. This thin rod forms a sliding fit with the snap spring on the back of the panel. After the screw exits the threaded hole, it can move freely axially within the range of the rod without excessive radial swing. The assembly worker is more accurate in finding holes.
The second is half tooth. The screw is not fully threaded, only the half near the head has threads. When screwing into the nut or rivet bolt behind the panel, only two or three pitches are needed to tighten it. The other half of the rod has very little friction when retracting into the fixed sleeve and will not get stuck. Under the vibration environment of the equipment, the screw will not retract on its own, but the maintenance worker feels smooth when tightening it.
