Brass Flat Head Riveted Nuts

The copper flat head riveted nut is a single-sided installation threaded fastener. The head is designed with a 90°recess, and after riveting, the head is flush with the surface of the thin plate. The base material is cold-drawn from high-quality H62/H65 brass, and the specifications cover M3–M10 (commonly used M4/M5/M6). During installation, it is inserted into the pre-drilled recess from one side of the sheet, and the core rod is pulled using a self-tapping gun to cause the tail to bulge and lock on the backside. No welding, tapping, or double-sided operation is required. The product can be supplied in bare copper form, or it can be treated with passivation, tin plating, or nickel plating as per customer requirements to enhance weather resistance.

Product Feature

Flat and unobtrusive: The 90° conical head fits perfectly with the sheet material's blind hole, resulting in a smooth surface without any protrusions after installation. It does not interfere with exterior components, sliding door panels, or adjacent assembly surfaces, making it suitable for products with high requirements for appearance consistency.

Natural advantages of copper materials: The brass model combines strength and machinability, while the copper alloy model has excellent electrical and thermal conductivity. Both have excellent resistance to atmospheric corrosion and non-oxidizing acids, and are non-magnetic, non-stainless, and do not produce sparks. They are suitable for electrical and flammable/explosive environments.

Single-sided blind assembly efficiency: Only one side of the operation space is required, and the riveting is completed in just a few seconds. The tail bulge forms mechanical interlocking, providing better tensile and torsional strength than ordinary press rivet nuts on extremely thin plates.

Internal thread stable and detachable: The copper material has a moderate hardness, which makes it less likely to get stuck or slip when paired with steel bolts. It maintains the thread accuracy even after multiple disassemblies, which is superior to direct tapping of thin plates.

Optional anti-rotation structure: The column body can be selected as a smooth rod, vertical lines, or hexagonal shape. The vertical lines/hexagonal models can effectively prevent twisting and rotation under torsion, and are suitable for automated production lines.

Electronic and communication cabinets: Thin plates for RF equipment, antenna brackets, 5G base station casings, etc., need to be fixed with conductive continuity or grounded through shielding.

Decoration and handicrafts: Copper art doors, signs, lamp housings, vintage furniture, etc., require uniformity in appearance flatness and material for decorative riveting.

Chemical and food equipment: Non-strong oxidizing acid environments, pure copper pipeline supports, exterior surface fixation of brewing/lactation equipment, using copper's antibacterial and corrosion-resistant properties.

Explosion-proof and special occasions: Oil and gas station instrument panels, explosion-proof electrical enclosure, etc., avoid using materials that generate sparks and use single-sided threaded connection points.
