The inner wall of ordinary worm gear clamps has threaded joints. After tightening, those joints will press a mark on the hose, and over time, the hose is prone to cracking at that spot. The inner wall of the single-lug stepless clamp is flat, with uniform stress applied to the entire circumference, so the hose will not be locally damaged by constriction.

The structure of a single ear is simpler than that of a double ear, and the force required for tightening is less. For double ears, you need to clamp twice, while for single ears, once is enough. The installation speed is fast, making it suitable for batch assembly. Moreover, the ears of a single ear are relatively short, so after installation, the protrusion is small, and they won't touch the adjacent parts in a compact space.
